Born on July 9, 1947, Eddie was the eldest among his siblings born to Emil Krejci, Sr. and Gloria Krejci. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandy; his brother, Michael Krejci; his parents, Emil, Sr. and Gloria Krejci; as well as his sister, Linda Roark.
Eddie is survived by his cherished daughters, Chaney and Penny; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, David (Lyla) Krejci, Karen (Joseph) Brown, Thomas (Thelma) Krejci, Joann (Gene) Sullivan, Kathleen Walter, Marilyn (Brian) Light, Peggy Walter, Richard (Carrie) Krejci, Gary (Barbara) Krejci, Angela Hontz, and Anthony Krejci.
Though Eddie spent his childhood in Calumet Township, he made Hammond his home for the majority of his life. After over 30 years of dedicated service, he retired from Indiana Harbor Belt. A passionate fisherman, Eddie found joy in spending time on the water and cherished his vacations in Tennessee.
Known as a man of few words, Eddie's presence commanded attention, and his words carried weight. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many who knew and loved him.
A Visitation to honor Eddie's memory will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. A Funeral Service will follow on Friday, June 14, 2024, starting at 10:30 am, with a burial at noon at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 4401 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408.
Friends and family are invited to a luncheon following the funeral at The Church Of Jesus Christ Lake Station, 1625 Service Street, Lake Station, IN 46405.
