Dorothy Drake

Dorothy Drake, age 92, of Burns Harbor, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Dorothy was born June 4, 1928. Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Jean Shumway and Freida Fauver; eleven grandchildren: Belinda(Darrell)Terry, Anita (Harris) Carver, Angela (Darren) Godby, Shirley (Jeff) Bootz, Elizabeth (Louie) Liberto, Kendra (Michael) Shumway, Barbara (Alan) Fauverzeman, Pamela (Patrick)Prumak, Robert (Jessica) Olive III, Sarah Olive Vaughn, and James Shumway; many great and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Josephine Fleming and son-in-law Robert Olive. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Calvin Edward Drake, daughter Lois Olive, and two sons-in-law Kenneth Shumway and Ben Fauver.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Ross Baptist Church (4790 Noble St. Gary, IN 46408). The funeral service will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Ross Baptist Church Pastor Bill Gibbs officiating. A burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
