Donald Terpstra

Donald Terpstra, age 82 of St. John, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Donald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Grace Terpstra (nee Kerkstra); four sons: Donald and Mary Terpstra of Dyer, IN, Dale and Kim Terpstra of Griffith, IN, Douglas and Cheryl Terpstra of Crown Point, IN, and Derek and Jennie Terpstra of Cedar Lake, IN; one daughter, Jan and Rev. David Veldhorst of Bangkok, Thailand; also survived by 22 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson, Benjamin Terpstra. Donald was a veteran of the United States Marines, prior owner of Terpstra's Sales and Services, Inc. of Griffith, IN. He was a member of Community United Reformed Church of Schererville, IN. Visitation Friday, December 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. Both visitation and funeral services will be held at Community United Reformed Church in Schererville, IN. Family graveside service on Monday, December 17, 2012. Memorials may be given to Illiana Christian High School or Highland Christian School.
