Danny Nelson

Daniel R. Nelson, age 41, passed away due to complications after surgery on January 23, 2016 at Vibra Hospital with his loving family at his side. Danny was born October 12, 1974 in Hammond, Indiana to Glenn and Deborah (Mathews) Nelson. His mother survives, and his father preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is his grandfather Richard Mathews.Along with his mother to cherish his memory are his brother, Scott Nelson; nephew, Preston Nelson; grandmother, Ethel Mathews; uncles, Jim (Ronda) Mathews, and David (Denise) Mathews; and cousin Michael Mathews. Danny was a welder for Vermette Machine Shop, and was a 1993 graduate of Calumet High School. He loved being with family and friends and relaxing with his favorite TV shows. Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home (9039 Kleinman Ave.; Highland, Indiana). Funeral services will be Thursday at 7pm with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating.
