Charles Cross

Charles Cross, age 66, of Merrillville passed away Tuesday June 30, 2015 with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia; daughters Stephanie (Andrew) Cassioppi and Tiffany (Mark) Weathersbee; beloved grandchildren Avery and Cole; brother Billy (Becky); sisters Joyce (Willie), Faye (Wilburn), Geneva (Joe), and Ruth; longtime friend Donna Orcutt; special nieces, Connie and Pam; and many more nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Pearl, and several brothers and sisters. Charlie was employed with USG Corporation for over 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, telling a good story, and teaching Avery how to get everything she wanted. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday July 2, 2015 at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland IN. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday July 3, 2015 at Kuiper Funeral Home with the burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN.
