Bill Gidley

William " Bill" V. Gidley, age 79, of Highland, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021. Bill is survived by his wife Pat; four children: Donna Van Gundy, Billy V. (Paula) Gidley Jr., Amy (Jeff) Barrentine, and Jay (Amy) Gidley; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers Jim and David Gidley; sister-in-law Harriet Gidley; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Gidley; two daughters Sheila and Debbie; son Jeff; grandson Michael Anthony; two sisters Betty Jean and Barbara Ann Shaw; two brothers Marvin and Chuck; and brother-in-law Bob Shaw. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN with Rev. Randy Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Bill was a 55 year member of Local 374 and worked 36 years as a boilermaker. In his retirement Bill became a Karaoke D.J.
