Betty Jo will forever be remembered by her family as a woman who knew how to have fun. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards like Bunco with her girlfriends, and going to see the "Muddy River Band." She spent many years working for the City of Hammond as a School Bus Driver. Her never-ending love for her family will be felt for years to come.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 46 years, James "Tony" Henry; children, Valerie (Bob) Gilbert, Mark Grisham, Joe (April) Grisham, and Melinda Grisham; four grandchildren, Michael Parrish, Amber (Chris) Gibson, Kaitlyn Gilbert, and Andrew Grisham; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lauren; sister, Carol (Dan) Galayda; brother, Bill (Gloria) Nolan; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Betty Jo is welcomed into eternity by her parents, Virgil and Anna Nolan; and son, Scott Parrish.
A Public Visitation for Betty Jo will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Pastor Chad Cook will officiate. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
