Zephia Walker Dunlap

She was born in Alexander County, NC to John Davidson Walker and Fannie Barnes Walker. After graduating from Taylorsville High School she moved to Kannapolis, NC where she met her husband of 66 years, Clyde I Dunlap, Jr. Clyde preceded her in death. Zephia retired from Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. She enjoyed baking, gardening, watching the Betty Feezor Show, UNC Tar Heel basketball and spending time with family.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Griffin, son-in-law George V. Griffin, grandson George B. Griffin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Zephia was predeceased by six sisters: Juanita Childers, Jessie Walker, Betsy Daniels, Ernestine Robinette, Norene Blackwelder and Rachel Wike; and three brothers: Graydon Walker, Owen Walker and Billy Walker.

Zephia's family would like to thank the entire staff of Every Age, Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville, NC for the loving and competent care she received while residing there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Every Age Foundation, earmarked for Piedmont Crossing in the memo line, and mailed to UCHS Foundation, 100 Leonard Ave., Newton, NC. 28658.

A private burial with a memorial service at a later date is being planned by the family. arrangements.
