Bill was born in Pinehurst, March 27, 1952, a son of Wilbur M. Currie and Mary McQueen Currie. Bill was an independent furniture rep. Bill was a loving husband, wonderful Dad and uncle. He loved the UNC institution, coached basketball at the YMCA and was a former assistant scout master. Bill attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Terry Currie; two sons, Ronnie Currie and fiancé Caroline Rein and Kyle Currie; two sisters, Donna Currie and Carol Ketchie; a niece, Hope Anglesey and two nephews, Jon Ketchie and Ryan Anglesey.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Davis Funerals and Cremations Chapel by the Rev. Lisa Mullen.
