Wayne Alexander Ruth

Mr. Ruth was born August 31, 1932 in McDowell County to Bertrand Forrester and Jennie Young Ruth. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Navy. Mr. Ruth retired in 1985 from the Electronic Accounting Card Company and in 1997 he retired from Hafele of America. Mr. Ruth was of the Baptist faith and was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Jean Caton, his brothers, James A. and Francis J. Ruth , and his granddaughter Hannah E. Shelton. On May 29, 1955 he married the former Billie Ann Goodwin, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his daughters: Karla Ann Ruth-Spencer and husband Greg of Lewisville, Julia Smith and husband Eric of Trinity, Rebecca Ruth Brock of Sims, NC, and Evelyn Marie Ruth of Greensboro, and his son, Langley Ruth and wife Denise of Trinity. Mr. Ruth has four grandsons: Nathanael V. Shelton and wife Emily, Jesse M. Shelton, Marcus L. Smith, and Alexander W. Ruth. Also surviving is Mr. Ruth’s sister, Marie McDade of Greenville, SC

Memorial services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Jamestown United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jim Watford and Reverend Wes Mosteller officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Sechrest Funeral Service on E. Lexington Avenue in High Point.
