Virginia Harbinson Southard

Mrs. Southard was born in High Point on September 11, 1922 to Charles Edgar Harbinson and Bertha Keener Harbinson. She formerly worked for Adams Millis Company and later she was the Dining Room Manager of the Albert Pick Hotel Restaurant until she retired in the early 1980’s. Mrs. Southard was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and sisters and her husband, Robert Ernest Southard, Jr. who died January 22nd, 1985.

Surviving are her sons: Charles Southard and wife Kathy of Burlington and James Southard and wife Anna of High Point. There are five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00pm. In the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point by the Reverend David Olson. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:30 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.
