Vera M. Otto

On January 22, 1944 Vera married Walter K. Otto, who survives at the home. They married in Stratford, Ontario and were blessed with 68 years of marriage.

Vera loved attending worship with the Church at High Point. She served on several community boards and also enjoyed many years of golfing at High Point Country Club. Family and friends will always remember her for her sparkling smile and warm heart.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Otto of Boone, NC; a daughter, Betsy Otto of High Point, NC; and a sister Margaret Dickinson of Warren, Michigan. (Vera also had a “grand dog”, Richie.) She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris McCauley of Stratford, Ontario, Canada.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sechrest Funeral Home Chapel, 1301 East Lexington Avenue, High Point, NC. Visitation with the family will be held in the Sechrest Room immediately following the memorial service.
