Theresa "Terri" Ann Highlander Welch

Theresa "Terri" Ann Highlander Welch, age 69, of Archdale, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Terri was born October 18, 1952 in Washington, DC to the late Ernest Ray and Mavis Lou Baker Highlander.

Terri was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother who will be missed by all. Terri was a very dedicated wife and took care of her husband, who is a wounded Vietnam Veteran. Terri was also a teacher's assistant for children with special needs at Oak Hill Elementary School for many years, before she retired in 1991.

Terri is preceded in death by her parents; her nephew, Andrew Dziuk; and her beloved pet boxer, Lilly.

Terri is survived by her husband of 51 years, William "Mike" Welch; son, Robert "Bobby" Welch and his wife Joy Welch; sister, Vickie Dziuk and her husband Lee Dziuk; brother, Michael "Uncle Mike" Highlander and his partner Tripp Reed; her niece, Sarah Sweeney and her husband Mike Sweeney; her great nieces and nephews, Michael, Christian, Ella, Emma and Levi Sweeney, and Benjamin Dziuk; and her aunt, Katherine Worsham.

A gathering of family & friends for Terri will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Ave, High Point, North Carolina 27262.
