Ronnie was born in Rosewell, Georgia, September 9, 1947, a son of the late Dan Baker Norton and Rubie Grace Dodd Norton. He was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corp. After his military service, he was a machinist in California, where he met his wife, Marie French Norton. They later moved to North Carolina, and Ronnie began working with the Ford Motor Company. Ronnie enjoyed gardening, working on cars and in his yard. He especially loved spending time with his wife and family. Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Marie and a sister, Beverly Ann Norton-Smith.
Surviving are his sister, Julia Olson; a brother, Danny Norton and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Ronnie's life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Sechrest-Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:30. Memorials may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project.
