Phyllis Jean Peterson

Phyllis was born in Streator, Illinois, grew up on a farm near Emington, IL on March 26, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Foley. She was a consummate homemaker and caregiver to her family. Phyllis loved caring for her grandsons and the three daughters of her close friend/family. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary the past 46 years. Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Law; siblings, Rita Finnegan, Edmond Foley, Leona Myer and Aldine O'Brien.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Paul Peterson; two sons, Joe Peterson and Craig Peterson and his wife Sydney; three grandsons, Brayden and Nathan Law and Garrett Ball and son in law, Jonathan Law.

Funeral mass will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church by Father Tom Norris, O.F.S.F. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, (ALZ.org).
