Peggy Farrington Ledwell

Peggy was born in High Point, February 20, 1930, a daughter of the late Paul C. Farrington and Faye Parrish Farrington. She graduated from High Point High School in 1948 and married James W. Ledwell in 1949. Peggy retired from Hanes Brands/Sara Lee in 1992. She enjoyed roller skating in her younger years, vacationing at the beach and cooking for her family. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Farrington. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church and the Golden Circle Sunday School Class. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 68 years, James "Jimmy" Ledwell; a daughter, Debbie (Steve) Campbell; a son, Randy (Vicki) Ledwell; two granddaughters, Andrea (Evan) Hoover and Meredith (Krissy) Riggs; three great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Barbara Ketner.

A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Daniel Pittman. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Parkwood Baptist Church, 2107 Penny Rd., High Point, NC 27265.
