Peggy Green Hinkle, age 86, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, November 10th, 2018. Peggy was born March 26th 1932, in High Point, NC, to Lucile (Brewer) Green and Albert Rufus Green and was the eldest of five siblings.
Peggy is survived by brother, Max Green of High Point; Peggy’s three children, Janet Hinkle Williams of Raleigh, and Bradley D. Hinkle and Craig S. Hinkle of High Point; three grandchildren, Chrissy Hinkle of Martinsville, Virginia, Nikolas Everett of Raleigh, and Alexander Williams of Chapel Hill; and four great grandchildren in the Everett family, Paxton, Ambrose, Cosima, and Balthazar.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Albert and Lucile Green; her husband, Dewey Hoyle Hinkle; and three brothers, Larry, Michael and David Green.
Peggy was a very enthusiastic traveler and visited Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and many countries across Europe and the Middle East, as well as Tunisia in North Africa. At one time she had both a farm in Virginia and an apartment in the Bahamas. She loved homier activities such as knitting, playing cards with family and friends, and formal, sit-down, holiday dinners. She was passionate about life and “did it her way.”
