Michael Alan Kivett

Mr. Michael “Mike” Alan Kivett, age 56, of High Point died February12, 2010. He was born in High Point on September 25, 1953 to Jacquelyn Daniel and David Grayson Kivett. Mike graduated from High Point Andrews High School and attended High Point University. He was a business development manager with AmerisourceBergen Company and was a member of Emerywood Baptist Church. An avid sports fan, he helped coach several local baseball teams. Mike was preceded in death by his mother on March 31, 2007 and most recently by his father on February 11, 2010.

On May 31, 1975 he married Carol Tysinger who survives of the residence. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Jaime Jones and husband Jay of Memphis, TN; and his two sons: John Kivett and wife Brittany of Lawrenceville, GA, and Michael Kivett and his fiancé Tara of Hickory. There are three grandchildren, Rachel, Alex, and Ryan Jones and one grandson to be born in April to John and Brittany. Also surviving are a sister, Nancy Elliott and husband Jack of High Point and a brother, David Kivett, Jr. and wife Melissa of Davidson, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Emerywood Baptist Church by the Reverend Dr. Robert U. Ferguson, Jr. and the Reverend Garland Hall. The family will receive friends at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. At other times, the family will be at the home of Mike’s mother-in-law, Mrs. Peggy Tysinger, 3187 W.O.W. Road, Randleman, NC 27317
