Lillian Haywood Beaver, 89, of River Landing died, Friday June 24, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church by Dr. Kenneth Broman-Fulks. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium at a later date.
Mrs. Beaver was born October 8, 1921 in Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, a daughter of Oscar Frederick and Gertrude Haywood. Mrs. Beaver moved to High Point in 1941 and attended Jones Business College for several years. On March 1, 1946 she married William Morrisey Beaver who passed away in 2002.
Mrs. Beaver is survived by her two daughters, Ann Beaver Pokora and husband David of La Plata, MD and Catherine Beaver and husband Peter Wludyka of Jacksonville, Fl.
The family will receive friends in the church parlor following the service.
