Mrs. Judy Hunter Nelson, 65, went to be with her Lord Sunday, February 19, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
Judy was born in Elkin, March 22, 1951, a daughter of the late Roy and Goldie Hutchens Hunter. She was a excellent seamstress and had worked at Pearson and Seamcraft. Judy enjoyed gardening and flowers and was preceded in death by her brother, Roy “Tinker” Hunter.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Lewis Nelson; a sister, Mary Frances Liles and husband Bobby; “daughters”, Alice, Ann and Angela; sisters in law, Janie Hunter and Brenda Penland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Judy’s life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Brian Poindexter. Burial will follow in Stony Knoll United Methodist Cemetery in East Bend.
