Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and, infant brother Philip Corrington Pope, her husband, Joseph Fields of 38 years; her sisters Patricia (Herman) Newell and Joy (Jack) Piland.
Jane was a bank executive secretary in Asheboro, NC. She was a phenomenal seamstress. She enjoyed making designer clothing for herself, family and friends. Jane loved the North Carolina Tar Heels, and avidly followed their teams. Lovingly known to friends and family as “Baba”.
Jane is survived by her three children, Chris (Roger) Lamar, Browning (Susan) Fields, Mark (Donna) Fields, grandchildren Dylan Fields, Carly Fields, Jennie (William) Parker and great grandson Jarod Henne.
A memorial service will be held on March 17th, at First United Methodist Church, 512 North Main Street in High Point, NC. There will be a visitation with the family in the chapel from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. The service will be held in the sanctuary at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jane’s name to First United Methodist Church.
