Mrs. Cole was born October 23, 1925 in Forsyth County to David Earlie and Avah Lee Rominger Phillips. She had been a resident of High Point most of her life and was previously employed with Diversified Southern Industries as Scheduling Manager, retiring in 1979. Mrs. Cole was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Rosa Lee Leonard, Stacy Woosley, and three brothers, Vance Phillips, Clayton Phillips, and Earlie Junior Phillips. On March 23, 1948 she married William B. Cole who survives of the home.
Also surviving are her daughter; Pamela C. Bailey of Thomasville and two grandchildren : Cheryl Cooke and husband Quin and Kathy DeHart and husband Ken. There are four great grandchildren; Emma, Anabelle, and William DeHart and Jonathan Cooke.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cole will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m.in Sechrest Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Pat Dixon officiating. Interment will follow the service in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
