It's been three years today. It feels like yesterday and eternity all in one. I miss you more than words can express. Thank you God for letting me borrow your child. You could not have sent me a better partner. He loved me deeply,  cared for me, provided for me, gave me wonderful joy, taught me so many things about life. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to live my life with him. Thank you Jesus.  Thank you Hank. I can't wait to see you both!

Wanda I often think about Hank and time we shared as kids hunting @Mr Howard’s. Just being around him was uplifting and he is always a great guy to us. We have peace knowing he will be forever our friend! Sincerely Robin

Remembering Hank.  I always have good memories of Hank and I running around Mamaw Alley’s house playing (annoying)Grandpa Draughn as he sat listening to the huge radio in their den . He just couldn’t quite catch us with his cane! Thank goodness! We went dove hunting off National Hwy over at Mrs Howard’s land . Mike Howard would join us for lots of shooting and a few doves in the bag!                                                  Mostly; I think of his kindhearted personality and genuine demeanor and joyful spirit!! Rare abilities to keep peace I remember too! I miss Hank’s presence in our world today and hopefully it’ll never go away! Love ROBIN RICE

It's been a whole year. Some days it feels like it was just yesterday, but then other times it's been the longest year I have ever lived. I miss you terribly. But God has given me peace because I know you are in the arms of Jesus. I will see you again. I miss your laughs. Its suppose to snow here this weekend. I know you always looked forward to the snow. Just wonder if all the snow lovers like you in heaven have some place to go to enjoy that love?
Boo Boo

Although we only knew Hank for a short time through our ALS support group, we could quickly tell he was a kind, gentle, thoughtful and loving man. And his great love of Wanda was immediately evident.

Wanda, we know you will miss Hank tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

May the Lord hold you in his arms as you go through this sad time. Prayers, love, and heartfelt sympathy are with all of you.  




It was and always will be such a pleasure knowing Hank and Wanda. They came to the salon , just the sweetest couple . Arm in arm , Hank would escort Wanda in when they can e to get haircuts. He was such a joy to talk to , especially about cars. He loved his Wanda . I had the pleasure to go and cut Hanks hair while home bound and although he was slowly drifting away, he still laughed as much as he could . I am so thankful that the Lord spoke to my heart that night , and I was able to bring Hank a banana milkshake . I was able to say my good bye . Later when I text Wanda , she said He had trouble with good byes , so I changed it to  “not good bye but  see you later”  
 Hanks humor and smile will be missed but never forgotten. 
He was a brave warrior in his battle  ... he now has won his battle .

Thank you for all the laughter during you and Wanda’s haircuts . 
Prayers lifted for you Wanda. He loved you tremendously

Life has no ryhme no reason or does it?
People live there live, no time for others 
Most with no thought of what tomorrow will bring   Hank loved to live, loved to Love, His wife of 44 years.  A man that feared God and loved him in the same breath.  So many trials but never seconed guessed God's love for him.  We are not promised tomorrow. Do as Hank,  Live, Love and treat others with love and respect as Hank.  A true friend is always there for you, rather he is in heaven or earth.  Hank has always been there for me.  His memories are in my heart and yes will always be with me.  I know I'll see him soon.

Hank and I worked together at DMV in High Point, and became good friends. He and I had a lot in common such as being former police officers, former managers at corporations, and how we loved our pets and how they provided a comfort that nothing else could match.  I'm proud to call Hank a true friend, and I will miss him and our conversations we had after retirement.  May the Lord bless and comfort you Wanda and your family.

Honey you will forever be missed. I can't thank you enough for your love, care, and support you have freely given. You have always placed me upon a pedestal.   I feel I am the luckiest women on earth to have been selected to have been your wife. 
You fought a hard battle. You were strong and courageous. Through out the battle you kept your humor and your surprises. I don't know how you did it.
As much as I hated to release you to Jesus, I knew it was time.
I know you are  in Heaven dancing with Gracie and Dolly. 
I love you, miss you, but glad you are no longer in pain  or have that awful sickness and now have your arms, legs and wings.  As the songs says, I'll meet you soon at Jesus's feet.

Wanda, I was so saddened to hear of Hanks passing. Sherry always shared a great respect for the two of you. May Peace, comfort and love surround you now as well in the many days to come. Sending much love from the McAbee’s (including fur baby kisses from Jemma, Tank & Rusty)

I am so sorry for your loss.  I am especially sorry that I  can't be there to celebrate  Hanks home going because of Covid.  Please know that you are in  my prayers 🙏 and I love you. 

Hank Draughn  Was my best friend in high school at T Wingate Andrew's. We were laughing all the time. I remember setting at a street light with Hank on a friday night ,cruising Main Street downtownand. A guy pulls up next to us starts revving his engine in an invitation to race, so Hank starts revving his engine too. He had a Pontiac Lemans with a 289 high performance engine. He had added "glass packs" to make it loud too. Anyway when the light turned green the guy next to us peels rubber down the street... and  hank turns right! laughing loudly he says I got nothing to prove.

Hank was a cousin of mine who will always have a special place in my family’s life.These old memories are all great ones;  funny and genuine; but Hank was also thoughtful and of high character. We will miss you and never forget our times together . Wanda felt Hank was the best guy and she is right; a perfect gentleman and good husband. Rest In Peace !

Hank was the best friend one  could have.  He made work more enjoyable because he could find laughter anytime. There was no doubt Wanda was his soul mate and together they were inseparable.  I will miss him terribly. RIP my friend.
