Estelle M. Smith

Estelle Minnie Jean McGuire Smith, 88 of Clare Bridge, Brookdale Lawndale Park, in Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2015. She was born in Ashe County, Todd, North Carolina on May 20, 1927, daughter of the late Herbert Raymond McGuire and Ruth Etta Watford McGuire. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Ausby Smith; brother, H.R. McGuire of Lenoir and sister, Mildred Flynn of Winston Salem, NC. Estelle married Raymond Ausby Smith on August 7,1948. She worked in the business office at Sears on Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mrs.. Smith was a member of Oakview Lady Lions and attended Lebanon United Methodist Church in High Point, North Carolina for 45 years.

She delivered mobile meals with daughter, Letha, for 30 years and enjoyed making everyone's day a little brighter as she delivered their meal. Estelle's joy

in life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Estelle is survived by her brothers, Tom McGuire (wife Maxine) of Kansas City, Mo. and Haskell McGuire (wife Anne) of West Jefferson, NC; sister, Mary McGuire Norman (husband Richard) of Loudon, TN; daughters, Mrs. Jerry W. (Letha) McCraw of Greensboro, NC, Mrs. David C. (Vicki) Huff of Greensboro, NC; son, Mark Smith (wife Joaline Jack Smith) of Barrigada, Guam; grandchildren: Janet Hartmann, Jennifer Webster, Jacob McCraw, Samuel McCraw, Jedediah Smith(wife Crystal), Jordan Smith (wife Shannon), Mrs. Ernie (Morgan) Zielsdorf, Matthew Huff (wife Elyse). Great-grandchildren; Julius Smith, Jeremy Smith,Jillian Maxey, Clay Webster, Jr., Julia Maxey, Tessa Webster, Jackson Maxey, Sydney McCraw, Isaac Huff and Alexandra Huff. In-laws: Betty and Lewis Compton of Summerfield, NC and many nieces and nephews.

The service will be held at Lebanon United Methodist Church, 237 Idol Drive, High Point, North Carolina at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015 with Pastor Tim James officiating.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 237 Idol Drive, High Point, NC 27262. Thank you to the many friends and family for the kind condolences, prayers and support at
