Eddie Edward Garfield Greene

High Point- Edward (Eddie) G. Greene, III, 48, passed away on Friday, June 24, at High Point Regional Hospital. Eddie was born on September 6, 1967 in High Point to Gary Greene and Elizabeth Williams Greene-Collins.

Eddie loved sports, especially baseball; he was a Pittsburgh Steelers and huge UNC Tar Heels Fan. He loved his family dearly and was always willing to help anyone.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Williams Greene-Collins.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Katie Turner Greene; daughters, Emily Greene, Lauren Greene; son, Eli Greene; granddaughter, Nevaeh Evans; father, Gary Greene; sister, Erin Segers (Dustin); mother-in-law, Bonnie Turner; aunts, Susan Adams, Linda Abercrombie and Sandy Morgan; uncle, Tommy Greene; nieces and nephews Elissa, Emma, Evyn and Luke Segers; as well as many bonus kids from many years of coaching baseball.

A Celebration of Life led by Pastor Casey Bradford and Dustin Segers. will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 3929 Johnson St., High Point, NC. The family will receive friends after the service.
