Greensboro- David Benjamin Jordan, 57, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at his home in Greensboro. He was born August 7, 1961, the son of Benny and Brenda Jordan. Although he spent years traveling the nation, Guilford County was always home.
David is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Frazier Jordan and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cox of the home; a stepson, Tom Cox of Guatemala; a daughter, Lawana Albertson (Scotty); two grandchildren, Bailey and Carson of Trinity; his father and stepmother, Benny and Barbara Jordan of Kernersville; a brother, Darren Jordan; and three nieces, Carrie, Sarah and Hannah all of High Point.
David was a very hard worker and recently employed as a millwright with ITG Brands. He was a union man and believed in the blue collar American dream. David was a man of many hobbies. He enjoyed drag racing and loved his race cars. He lived his life doing things that made him happy. In his earlier years, he showed horses and was an auctioneer. He also wrote a children’s book and several short stories. David enjoyed a good round of pool at the local billiards (and bet your boots he’d win) as well as hitting the open road on his Harley. He had a collection of guitars and would play a cord or two and sing along as often as he could.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of the Piedmont for their care and comfort during the last several months. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
