On Sunday, June 19, 2011, Mrs. Cynthia King passed away at her residence following a brief illness. She was 56 years old.
Cynthia was born on November 27, 1954 in Thomasville, a daughter of the late Thelma Hill. Cindy was a loving mother to three sons, Jeremy and Anthony King of Sophia and Tom of Welcome, and a loving wife to her husband of 37 years, Anthony “Tony” King of the home. She was employed with Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point. Her faith was in God.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sally Mae Britt, a sister, Sally Goins and a grandson, Andrew Montana King.
In addition to her husband and sons, Cindy is also survived by her grandchildren, Savannah King of Thomasville and Jackson Thomas King of Welcome; sisters, Angela Becker of Oak Ridge, Robin Bean of High Point, and Ann Ecker of Sophia; and brothers, Joe Myers of Thomasville and Tim Britt of Clearwater, Fl.
A Celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd at Sechrest Funeral Service Chapel of High Point. Rev. Richard King and Danny Houser will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6-7 p.m. before the service.
