Christopher is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sidni Escort Conway; his brothers, David Conway and his wife Christine Conway, Greg Conway, and Mike Conway; his son, Jamie Conway and his wife Stephanie Conway, his daughter, Carli Harmon, his granddaughter, Cadence Conway, his mother-in-law Antonia Johnson, his sister-in-law Shawn Hernandez and her husband Johnny Hernandez, and nephew, Jianni Hernandez.
Christopher is preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Evelyn Benjamin and Ella Mouch; parents, Sheldon and Janice Conway; brothers Jeff Conway and Mark Conway; father-in-law Dr. Albert Johnson Jr; and brother-in-law Eric Escort.
Christopher grew up in Oceanside, California, with his parents and brothers. Christopher attended El Camino High School and graduated in the class of 1980. Sometime after high school, Chris started his career in the automotive industry, and mastered every aspect of it over the next 35+ years. Chris has worked in a variety of dealerships, all over the country, including California, Missouri, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
He was a master of his craft and could teach anyone a thing or two about, well, anything. From a very young age Christopher expressed interest in a variety of sports, but his true passion was golf. Chris was a master golfer from the moment he first held a club in his hand. His talent on the golf course won him countless tournaments and trophies over the years.
As passionate as he was about golf, the true love of his life was his wife, Sidni, his “Baby doll”. Everything Chris did, he did with baby doll in mind and anyone who knew him, could vouch for that fact. Christopher was an intelligent man, with a very kind heart, always willing to go the extra mile for anyone he could, and always ready to have a conversation, with anyone, at any time.
Christopher was an animal lover, Jeopardy enthusiast, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, but most importantly, he was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend, and those roles, are what defined him most.
A visitation for Christopher will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Service. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at 7:00pm; Pastor Jeff Martin officiating.
