Joe Honeycutt of High Point, NC passed away peacefully at Alamance Regional Hospital at the age of 96, on August 31, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1928 in Statesville, son of the late Clearance E. Honeycutt and Myrtle Hall Honeycutt Robbins.
Joe was a member of the Navy Reserve from 1948-1953. He was the owner of C. Joe Honeycutt and Associates as an Insurance Analyst. He taught Sunday School at Christ United Methodist Church, in addition to volunteering for numerous activities at the church. He was an avid golfer, member of Koinonians Square Dance Group, and Lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge of High Point.
Joe is preceded in death by wife, Caroline and they would have celebrated their 74th anniversary September 10, 2024. He is survived by four children, Greg Honeycutt (Linda D) of Thomasville, NC, Becky Marsh (Clyde) of Laurinburg, NC, Linda A Honeycutt of High Point, NC, and Michael Honeycutt (Sandra) of Burlington, NC. He has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held in the Chapel of Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 2 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until the service. Online condolences may be made at Sechrestdavisphillipsavenue.com.
