Bobby “Bob” Gerald West, 69 of Thomasville, passed away on September 19, 2018 after an extended illness. Bob always said, "Ya know, I never expected to get out this world alive."

Bob was born March 18, 1949 in Manchester, TN to the late Bob West & Gearldine Millrainey Moore.

He was a longtime resident of High Point, Owner/Operator of West Paint & Construction for many years.

Mr. West was a ham radio operator for 40+ years and a 32nd Degree Mason and member of Numa F. Reid Lodge #344 A.F. & A.M. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Mary Jane West Crumbley and a brother; Lloyd Moore.

Survivors include his wife; JoAnn Adler West, Daughter; Christy West Kelley, Grandson; Cody West Murphy, Great-Granddaughter; Emma Grace Murphy, two sisters; Lisa West & Tressa West Berendt and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at 6 PM Sunday, September 23 at Sechrest Funeral Service, East Lexington Avenue in High Point. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
