Betty Jean Brown Hines, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

Betty was born December 13, 1934 in Winston Salem, a daughter of the late Ransom and Ethel Peterson Brown. She was a registered nurse and was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Hines; two daughters, Vickie Cummings and Daphne Hines and a brother, Ransom Brown, Jr. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are two sons, Oscar Hines, Jr. (Karen) and Sean Hines; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Betty will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Ave, High Point, North Carolina 27262. Family will receive friends and extended family one hour prior to the celebration of life.

Betty will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
