Betsy Joan Sanders

Betsy was born in High Point, North Carolina on December 16, 1942 to the late James Garfield and Marie Lawrence Wall. She grew up in Archdale and High Point. Betsy married Troy Eugene Sanders on September 8, 1962. They were married 52 years, prior to his passing.

Betsy loved everyone and was the "toast of the party". She was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church in Oxford, North Carolina. She was very active in all events of the church. For over 45 years, she was a member of the Eastern Star. This involved her playing of their organ at many occasions.

Betsy is survived by her niece, Kathryn S. Decker (Ronnie); nephews, Johnny, David and Sandy Thornton, Fred Walker, Dolan Tucker, first cousins, Leon McGee (Kim), Michael McGee (Brenda) and various other cousins.

A Graveside service for Betsy will be January 30, 2023 at 2p at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 1p to 2p before the service at Sechrest-Davis Funerals and Cremations, 976 Phillips Avenue, High Point, North Carolina.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point and Oxford Presbyterian Church in Oxford, NC.
