Bertha Irene Hudson Hunt

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Home on E. Lexington Ave. High Point, NC with Reverend Roy Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Other times the family will be at the residence of son, Rick Hunt.

Irene attended Wallburg Baptist Church and enjoyed the simple things in life: reading, feeding the birds and caring for and spending time with family, all of whom will miss her dearly.

She was pre-deceased by Mother, Mary Jane Hudson Farmer and is survived by her husband, Jack Hunt; son, Rick Hunt (Kay), brother, Robert Hudson (Degayia), grandchildren, Christy Palmer (Donald), Bradley Hunt (Carrie), great grandchildren, Logan Palmer, Cooper and Sutton Hunt all of Winston Salem NC, nephews, Christopher Hudson (Megan) of Huntersville NC, Todd Hudson of Raleigh and Rodney Hudson (Jill) of Walnut Creek, Calif. and great nieces Carley Jane and Georgia Nicole Hudson and Scarlett Wren Hudson.

The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Abbotts Creek Center for the extrodinary love and exceptional care provided for Irene during her stay there.
