Arthur was a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Journalism and was an avid Tarheel fan. He also studied at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara California and was a photographer for many years with Alderman Studios. He spent many years serving as youth soccer coach with Greensboro Youth Soccer and was also a middle school youth advisor/confirmation teacher at First Presbyterian Church of High Point and most recently provided programs of music and fun activities for residents of River Landing Retirement Community.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sarah Goodman Glover; daughter Mary (Steve) Fraley; son Christopher (April) Glover; and grandchildren Jessica Fraley, Drew Glover, Kyndal Glover, and Carter Glover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Arthur’s name to First Presbyterian Church of High Point, 918 N Main Street, High Point, NC 27262; or to River Landing at Sandy Ridge, 1575 John Knox Dr., Colfax, NC 27235.
A memorial service for Arthur will be held on Monday, March 12th, 2018 at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church of High Point; followed by a reception in the First Presbyterian Family Life Center.
