Annie Mae was born December 3, 1919 to the late William Joseph Hobson and Annie Pike Hobson. She lived at Mills Home in Thomasville from 1927 to 1937. She married Clyde Elmo Lewis on August 6, 1939 and they were married 66 years prior to his death October 1, 2005. Annie Mae was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ann L. Nelson in 2009 and her brother, Joseph Hobson in 2006.
Annie Mae was employed by Adams-Millis and retired after 35 years as Supervisor of the Sample Department. She was a member of Oak Hill Friends Meeting for 50 years, the Anderson Memorial Sunday School Class, and USFW.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are one son, Thomas N. Lewis of High Point, two daughters, Linda L. Higgins (Buck) of Trinity and Kathy L. Trivette (Jimmy) of Archdale and son-in-law, Bobby R. Nelson of High Point, seven grandchildren: Scott Lewis (Sallie) of Greensboro, Kellie L. Coble (David) of Archdale, Kris Lewis of Wilmington, Matthew Higgins (Terri) of Trinity, Brian Clodfelter of Sophia, Zac Trivette (Mallory) of Trinity, and Chris Trivette of Oklahoma, 4 great-grandchildren: Neal and Kirk Lewis, Taylor and Kasey Higgins, sister-in-law, Joretta Lewis and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Friends Meeting with Pastor John Sides presiding. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point.
