Allene Lowe Ward 85 passed away on March 25, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital. Born in Guilford County to the late James Lewis and Violet Welch Lowe, she lived her most of her life in Guilford County. Allene attended Kings Business College and High Point College. She was a clerical worker for Globe Furniture and Marsh Furniture. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a former member of Deep River Friends, and was currently a member of the Calabash Presbyterian Church.
Allene is survived by her daughters Bonnie Ray and husband Carter, Elizabeth Kestler and fiancé Simon Shupak, and Dawn Kestler and special friend Melissa Hall, a son Danny Kestler and Durwood Ward Jr. five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013, 1:00pm at Sechrest Funeral Chapel in High Point. Visitation will be from 11-1pm, Thursday at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point. Internment will follow at Deep River Friends Cemetery.
