Herta B. Di Fiore

Herta B. Di Fiore, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024. Herta was born on April 27, 1936, in Bremen, Germany, and spent her final moments surrounded by her loving family. Herta is survived by her husband of 57 years, Marco "Mark" Di Fiore, and her two daughters, Pamela Milne and husband Craig & Michelle Urban and husband Richard. She was the cherished grandmother, fondly known as "Omi," to Kaitlyn, Nicole, Kyle, Julianna, and the late Brianna Urban.

Herta was a talented seamstress and hairdresser whose love for her family extended to her cooking. Herta's love for her heritage was evident through her visits to her family in Germany and her fondness for music, which she hummed even in her final days.

Visitation will be held at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 125 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville, New York, on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 1-3 pm to 6-8 pm. Interment will take place on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at The Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, New York. Herta's family finds solace in her peaceful passing and cherishes the memories of her warm and loving presence.
