Beloved wife of Benjamin J. Daguanno, who spent together 59 loving years of marriage. Loving mother of James Castelli and Frank Paul Daguanno. Adored daughter of the late Frank Castelli and the late Catherine Castelli. Cherished sister of Paul Castelli, Victor Castelli and the late Pat Castelli. Beloved grandmother of Alessandro Castelli and Massimo Castelli and loving daughter-in-law Marcella Castelli.
Catherine was a dedicated worker and avid reader, but most of all the best Mom ever. She spent over 25 years working at Hofstra University in Garden City, New York and she made weekly trips to the Hicksville Public Library, every chance she had she enjoyed picking up a new book. Catherine will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends.
A Visitation for Catherine will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 125 Old Country Rd, Hicksville, New York 11801. A Funeral Mass will occur Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family RC Church, 17 Fordham Ave, Hicksville, New York 11801. An Interment will occur Friday, May 12, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York 11933.
