Hickory - Yang Pao Xiong, 43 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on January 18, 1978 in Ban Vinai, Refugee Camp, Thailand. Yang is the son of Nelson Xiong and Kong Yang.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kong Yang.
He is survived by his wife, Zoua Vang as well as, six daughters, three sisters and five brothers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with Pastor Vang Vang officiating.
Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
There will be a memorial service at True Life Alliance Church on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 9:30 am.
