WARDELL “TINY” HUFFMAN HICKORY – Our beloved Wardell “Tiny” Huffman, 83 of Hickory passed away on November 11, 2017. Born on August 28, 1934 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Francis Huffman. Tiny was a member of Longview Baptist Church and a US Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father, friend, and a good neighbor. He will be missed by all. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lucille Huffman. Now they walk together again. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 1 – 3 PM at Catawba Funerals & Cremations. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 2 PM at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Larry Reese and Pastor Danny Oakley officiating. Burial will follow. Survivors include his daughters, Susanna Campbell of Asheville, Patricia Huffman and husband Wayne Parton of Lenoir; grandchildren, Eric Campbell, Kathryn Miller; great-granddaughter, Angel Oxendine; and his beloved cat, Angel.
