Mrs. Verbie Young Ruff

Verbie was born December 22, 1939 in Catawba Co. to the late Bill and Ellen Marie Young Sr.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from Hickory Leather.

Surviving are her husband, Lewis E. Ruff of the home, sons, Steve Ruff and wife Ivanna, Chuck Ruff and wife Mary both of Conover and David Ruff of Hickory,

daughters, Teresa Ruff of Morganton and Kim Miller and husband, Jeff of Charlotte,

brother, Bill Young, Jr. of Hickory,

sister, Brenda McClellan of Morganton,

5 grandchildren and l great-grandchild.

Services will be Monday, May 3, at 2 PM Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend David Guelzow officiating.

Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home

The family would like to thank a special hospice nurse Nancy Smith for care and friendship and the Catawba Valley House.
