HICKORY— Tanya Leigh Daye, 65, of Hickory passed away peacefully at Frye Regional Medical Center, on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Catawba County on October 23, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy Fortenberry Daye. Tanya retired from Catawba County EMS after 30 years of service. She was a caring and generous soul who spent her life giving to others. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. She is survived by her sister Susan Miller; a niece Amber Miller; a nephew Bobby White; 6 great nieces and nephews, Jefferie, Haylee, Dayden, Keilee, Carter, and Blakley, all of Granite Falls.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:45pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Friday, April 13 at 1:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Daughtrey officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park with Catawba County EMS pallbearers.
