Stevie Worth Shook

He was born in Cleveland County on May 10, 1945, to the late Charles Worth and Ethel Lowman Shook.

Stevie will be remembered by many as someone who loved being outside. He could be found regularly out for a walk, gardening, fishing, hunting, or simply sitting outside soaking up the sun . His love of family was always evident as he would spend his time out visiting his dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother in law, David Watson.

Stevie is survived by his sister Bonnie and her husband, Bobby Townsend of Hickory, NC; his sister, Sharon Watson of Winston-Salem, NC; his sister, Kathy and her husband, Mark Ernstes of Winston-Salem, NC; his brother, Charles and his wife, Opal Shook of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by his nephews, Dan and his wife, Kelly Townsend of Clinton, Mississippi; Aaron and his wife, Jessica Watson of Charleston, SC; Evan and his wife, Camille Watson of Durham, NC; and John Ernstes of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his nieces, Susan and her husband, Steve Bailey of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Becky and her husband, Richard Palmer of Hickory, NC; Amy and her husband, Hitesh Vasnani of Hickory, NC; and Jordan Ernstes of Charlotte, NC, Novelia and husband Todd Eckard of Connelly Springs, NC. Finally, he is survived by his aunt, Helen McDaniel of Salisbury, NC.

Visitation of friends will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 2:45pm at Royal Chapel Church of God.

The service will be held Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 3:00pm at Royal Chapel Church with Reverend Carlton Davidson officiating.

Burial will follow in church cemetery.
