HICKORY – Mrs. Shirley Carolyn Annas Wilson Cline, 87 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 25, 2022.
She was born on August 30, 1935 in Caldwell County to the late Robert G. Annas and Gladys S. Annas.
She was a loving mom, wife, sister, aunt and mamaw. Shirley loved the Lord and was a member of First Church of God. She was a homemaker and a devoted Atlanta Braves Fan.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry E. Cline; son, Richard E. Cline; grandchildren, Delena Mae Cline and Michael Alex Hart; brothers, Robert Glen Annas, Hugh O. Annas; sisters, Velma Townsend, Mary Stoerrle, Donna Howell; and a number of in-laws.
Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Gregory M. Wilson (Victoria) of Hickory, Robert “Lee” Wilson (Jeannie) of Taylorsville, Rodney D. Cline of Hickory, Daughters, Kim W. Church (Frank) of Hickory, Wendy C. Goble (Rodney) of Conover, Regina C. Hart (Mike) of Hickory; sisters, Shelba A. Turner (Grover) of Lenoir, Patti A. Smith of Danville, VA; Brother, Larry Annas (Maryann) of Hickory; sister-in-laws, Patricia C. Hefner of Taylorsville, Carolyn C. Hines (David) of Bethlehem, Helen Cline of Asheville; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Family would like to give a special thank you to her wonderful caregiver, Kara G. Keovilay for taking care of her and loving her so well.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11 AM at Catawba Funeral Home with her Beloved Son, Gregory Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM -11 AM at the funeral home.
