Scottie Propst Wyant

She was born the daughter of the late Ralph Propst and Bertha Workman Propst on August 29, 1936 in Cleveland County. Scottie was a member of Sardis Lutheran Church.

Along with her parents, her brother, Robert Propst preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Herman Wyant of the home; daughters, Dorothea Wyant and Mike Lutz of North Myrtle Beach, Sherrie Midgett and husband Mike of Hickory; son, Neal Wyant and wife Lori of Hickory; granddaughters, Ashley Byrd and husband Matthew of Wake Forest, Chelsea Franzke and husband Norman of Germany; grandsons, Tyler Fry and wife Kelsey of Wake Forest, Alex Midgett of Hickory; great granddaughters, Avery Byrd, Finley Byrd, and Riley Fry; great grandsons, River Fry, Shepherd Fry; sisters, Marilyn Teague and husband Roger of Hickory, and Jane Moretz of Hickory.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Sardis Lutheran Church. Reverend Mary Louise Sitton will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the burial.
