Sarah B. Starnes

Sarah was born February 2, 1935 in Catawba Co. to the late Matthew M. and Minnie Sigmon Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Lewis Bowman and Luther P. Bowman and a sister, Mae Bowman.

She was a member of Unity Lutheran Church and retired from Madaris Hosiery Mill.

Surviving are her husband, Arnold S. Starnes of the home, sons: Bo Starnes and wife, Pam and Sammy Starnes and wife, Kim both of Hickory, granddaughters: Mary Huffman and husband, Ashley of Hickory, Kristen Starnes of Harrisburg, NC, Heather Prestwood and husband Adam of Lenoir, grandsons: Jonathan Starnes and wife, Kristen of Houston, TX and Alex Starnes of Hickory, great granddaughter, Addison Brooks Prestwood of Lenoir, special sister-in-law, Sandra S. Bowman of Hickory, sisters: Sue Starr of Newton and Mary Alice Keller of Hickory, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 4:00 P. M. at Unity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Andrew Bell officiating.

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:30 until 3:45 PM at Unity Lutheran Church.
