Sadie Eugenia Bolick

Newton – Sadie Eugenia Dunlap Bolick, 81 of Newton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born on January 6, 1941 in Lancaster County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Louise Whitaker Dunlap. Sadie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and drinking Diet Mountain Dew. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Sadie is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Alvin Earl Bolick and a son, James Earl Bolick.

Those left to cherish her memory include, 2 daughters, Betty Barkley and husband, George and Amy Smith; 3 sons, Jimmy Bolick, David Bolick and wife Tammy, and Donald Bolick and wife Karen; 2 grandchildren of the home Jacob Smith and Donny Bolick, as well as, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park’s Chapel Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Sadie’s name.
