He was born on November 21, 1956 to the late Bert Owens and Flora Huffman Owens in Catawba County.
Along with his parents, his Son, Ricky Owens; daughter, Lisa Owens; brother, Tony Owens; half- brother, Bobby Owens; half-sister, Peggy Edwards; and a great grandchild preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lea Hatley Owens of the home; daughters, Melissa Starnes and husband Shannon of Taylorsville, Monica Helton and husband Daniel of Catawba; son, Ronnie Eric Owens; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brother, Allen Owens of Hickory.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Jenkins will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
