Ronald Eugene Huffman

Newton – Ronald Eugene Huffman, 80 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born on January 24, 1943 in Catawba County, NC, Ronald was the son of the late Everett Aray and Muriel Hedrick Huffman. He had a passion for photography, hiking, fishing, and cooking. Ron was a graduate of NC State University with a Master’s Degree in industrial engineering. He retired from Huffman Metal Works, Inc. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Michael Huffman.

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 26 years, Mary Ann Smith Huffman; a son, Patrick Huffman of Boiling Springs, SC; a daughter, Vicki H. Omundson and husband, Andy of Greenwood, SC; 2 sons, Michael Arrowood of Maiden, NC and Rodney Arrowood of Lenoir, NC; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patricia Carson of Jefferson, NC and Jan Carpenter of Conover.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Paul Kanupp officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum.

The Family will receive friends prior to the service from1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
