Robert David Bolick

Robert was born January 12, 1928 in Catawba County to the late Wesley E. and Etta Cora Lee Davis Bolick, Sr.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Bolick.

He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, a retired Navy veteran having served in WW II, Korean War and Viet Nam Conflict. After his retirement, he was a truck driver for Bassett Furniture and later worked for Foothills Trucking. Robert served with meals on wheels and the chicken pie ministry at Augustana Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his sisters; Joyce Bolick Smith and husband, Bennie of Hickory, Peggy Lane of Newton, Catherine Helton of Sycamore, PA. and Doris Keller of Baltimore, MD, a brother, Wes Bolick and wife, Polly of Bethlehem, Godchild, Nicole Smith of Hickory, sister-in-law, Betty Bolick of Hickory and a brother-in-law, Neil Bolick and wife, Margaret of Hickory and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Augustana Lutheran Church with the Reverend Andrew Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park with graveside honors being conducted by American Legion Post #48.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel.
